I came across this site today and thought it would be useful for emerging fashion designers.

The Fashion Tank is an online business resource, portal and publication for Fashion Designers and membership is free. You can become a member and subscribe to their weekly e-newsletter containing their latest updates and links to online business articles. They make their money by charging for workshops conducted by industry specialists, and generate revenue from advertisers targeting their niche group of members.

It's great to see something like this written specifically for the Australian fashion marketplace. The site is still under construction at the moment, but by the looks of it this could become a useful go-to place for emerging designers.

Tracksuit pants as fashion? Hmmmm.

Just read this article in the Courier Mail about how tracksuits are making a comeback. In the article, Lorna-Jane Clarkson says "It's a nod to that laid-back LA vibe that's so popular among the Hollywood set."

I'm all for incorporating comfort into your wardrobe where appropriate, but fleece pants in public? I guess it just goes to show that in fashion, anything is possible...

Virtual Fashion Connection

For the past three days Veux has been a part of the Virtual Fashion Connection, a fabulous event in Brisbane where online stores combined forces to bring their fashion wares to real life. It was a lot of hard work but also a lot of fun!

One of the events - the Sirromet Friday Night Fashion Forum - involved stylists giving style tips and fashion advice to the guests and styling a group of models with garments and accessories from the stores. It was great to see some Veux stock worn in different ways, combined with awesome shoes from Princess Chic and complimentary clothes from Beginning Boutique.
